Services

This service is designed to support early recovery by offering professional oversight, comfort assistance, and continuity of care during the initial post-operative period.

Why add private RN support after surgery

Early recovery often feels unclear — dressings, drains, swelling, pain, nausea, and new instructions at home.
Private post-operative RN care adds a calm, clinical presence in the first 24–72 hours and early days after discharge.

My name is Olga Gurton. I am a Registered Nurse with over 13 years of experience in acute rehabilitation and medical-surgical care, licensed in Maryland.
My work has always focused on supporting patients during the early, often uncertain stages of recovery. I provide hands-on post-operative nursing care, including wound and dressing care, symptom monitoring, and watching for early signs of potential complications, while helping patients understand and follow their care instructions.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of care do you provide?

I provide short-term, RN-led post-operative nursing support after discharge. Care focuses on early recovery, symptom monitoring, wound and dressing care, and patient education.

Is this the same as home health care?

No. This service does not replace home health, visiting nurse services, or follow-up care with the surgeon. It is intended to provide short-term support during the early recovery period.

Do you perform medical procedures?

No. Care is provided within the scope of registered nursing practice. I do not perform medical procedures or treatments and do not replace medical care.

Where is care provided?

Care can be provided in the patient’s home, hotel, or short-term rental, depending on recovery needs and location.

How long does care last?

Care is typically short-term and customized based on the patient’s recovery needs and surgeon instructions.

How do you handle concerns during recovery?

I closely monitor symptoms and recovery progress. If concerns arise, I follow appropriate protocols and communicate with the patient and, when necessary, the surgeon’s office.

Is this service covered by insurance?

No. This is a private, self-pay service.

How do I request care?

Care can be requested through the form on this website. After reviewing the information, I will follow up to discuss availability and next steps.
